We analyze the prices and volumes of Hass avocados in the US market. This year’s featured prices, in general, for avocados on the market American from week 27 for all varieties. The price rise has been vertiginous, breaking with the usual curve in relation to 2020. High prices for conventional Hass avocados have continued into the week pass. If we look at the chart below, we can see that at week 38, the price of conventional Hass avocados in the North American market was around US$4.54 per kilogram, showing an increase of 75 percent year-on-year.
