Mexican grape production will grow 19.5% in 2022

According to the Association of Table Grape Producers of Mexico (AALPUM), the 2022 harvest is expected to reach a new high, exceeding 25 million boxes, which will represent an increase of 19.5% compared to last year.

The first harvest is expected to take place in early May. This early harvest should produce about 7.4 million cases through May, followed by the peak season with 16.59 million boxes through June. Finally, the late season in July would produce 1.45 million.

A pesar de esto, las expectativas para 2022 son alentadoras y se espera que la industria de uva en México tenga una recuperación significativa, alcanzando o incluso superando las cifras de 2020.
